How To Play Day of Dead
Day of Dead features 4 rows, 5 reels and 20 paylines, so getting a handle on how this slot works should be relatively easy if you are familiar with online slots.
To start spinning the reels, you must place your bet using the +/- buttons below the reels.
Set your stakes starting from as little as £0.20 up to £4 per spin. Then, when you're ready, press the Spin button to start playing.
The Information (i) button will give you all the information about this online slot, including the paytable, features and game rules.
You will be playing with 11 regular symbols and wild symbols. To form winning combinations, you must land 3 or more matching symbols on a payline.
The low-value symbols include stylised hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades. For example, the green clubs symbol can award up to 2.5x your stake for 5-of-a-kind. Other symbols include the maracas, the drum, and the guitar. The guitar can pay up to 5x your stake for landing 5 matching symbols on a payline.
The dead man character is the highest paying symbol, offering up to 15x your wager for a 5-of-a-kind combination.
The scatter symbol is the skull, which can only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5. Landing 3 of them anywhere on the reels will activate the Free Respin feature. Additionally, this game has two wild symbols: a regular wild symbol and a walking wild.
The regular wild can substitute for all symbols except the skull scatter and the expanding wild. The expanding wild will expand and fill up the reel it lands on. It also triggers the Walking Wild feature.
Day of Dead Bonus Features & Jackpots
Walking wilds are an integral part of the gameplay in the Day of Dead slot game. Of course, you can land these during the base game, but they can play a more significant role during Respins Bonuses.
Walking Wilds Feature: As mentioned above, landing the expanding gravestone wild anywhere on the reels will cause that wild symbol to expand and fill the reel it lands on. This will, in turn, activate the Walking Wild feature.
During this feature, you receive 1 respin, and the wild walking moves 1 reel to the left. This process continues until the walking wild is gone from the screen.
Free Respin Feature: The Free Respin Feature is the main bonus round, and it is triggered when you land 3 or more scatter symbols. These must land on reels 1, 3, and 5. This feature will continue as long as there are expanding wilds on the screen. If you land walking wilds during this feature, they will land in the meter above the reels.
The first round begins with 2 walking wilds. One of them will drop onto the reels and activate the Walking Wilds feature. Remember the wilds metre above the reels? The wilds collected there can fall on the reels at random.
Additionally, if another gravestone wild land, the multiplier value increases. In the left-hand corner of the screen, you'll find the value of that multiplier.
Day of Dead RTP & Volatility
The Day of Dead online slot has an RTP rate of 94.47%. The volatility is high.
Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack
The Day of Dead slot has outstanding graphics, and the theme can be associated with Halloween. The reels are set against what appears to be a graveyard in the middle of the night. The soundtrack is a spooky tune that binds this theme together.
The dominant colour scheme is dark purple. It also features brightly coloured Mexican-style symbols such as maracas, drums, and guitars. Other symbols include 3 Dead characters; a young lady, an old lady, a guy and a dog. They're also the high-paying symbols of the game.
Day of Dead Review Summary
The Day of Dead slot offers high-quality graphics and a unique soundtrack that can help create an engaging and immersive gaming experience. While this horror-themed slot has high volatility, it also has a decent RTP rate and a possible max win up to 4,500x your wager, so it is worth giving it a spin.
